snack a scam
So there we have it.....

Vending Revolution making money, Charity making money, little old me, making nothing after expenses.

I asked for help and advice and didn't even get a response from Barbara, despite being assured on 3 occasions that i would.

Only when i decided to close the business did i get an answer.

Here is what was forthcoming:

Dear Darren

As I have not received a reply to my previous email asking if there is a problem I can only assume that for whatever reason you wish not to communicate with us.

As you have already stated that you no longer have a vending business and that you have stopped your standing order, I must remind you that you have signed a legally binding Agreement (copy attached) with regard to the rental of the 50 Towers which state that the 50 Towers are our property which you are in possession of and that you have to return them to us in full working order, delivered to our premises here in Bourne at your expense within 30 days of the cancellation of the Agreement.

Under the terms of your Snack-a-Can Vendor Rental Agreement 1027/DT I formally accept your 30 days notice to cancel your rental towers as at the date of your email dated 14 July 2010.  All 50 have to be delivered to our premises here in Bourne no later than 14 August 2010 for inspection.  All Towers are to be in full working order with no defective , missing, damaged or broken parts.  The vendors must be in good cosmetic condition  being free of scratches, cracks and any chrome plating damage, subject to reasonable wear and tear at the Companies discretion.  Please arrange with Alix for a convenient time for your Towers to be inspected.

I should remind you that if you fail to deliver our 50 Towers by 14 August 2010 then

I am obliged to formally advise you in writing that should you not fulfil the obligations of your legally binding Agreement by 14 August 2010, the matter shall be passed to a debt collection agency who are authorised to take whatever steps are necessary to recover the goods and monies owed including court action and bailiffs should this prove necessary.  Our additional incurred costs of the debt collection agency, court action, legal fees, bailiff fees and any other direct costs associated with the recovery of our Towers and monies will be added to the outstanding amounts which you will also be fully responsible for.  This unpleasant course of action can be simply avoided by fulfilling your obligation to return the Towers as requested by 14 August 2010.

Kind regards,

    Barbara Fellowes

So there you have it.....

Welcome to The Vending Revolution.....lol

If you wish to do business with Criminals (yes EVADING VAT is a CRIME perpetrated by CRIMINALS)  then this is the business for you. I'm not sure that its great publicity for the Acorn Childrens Hospice though?

I welcome your comments, and look forward to hearing of your experiences both good and bad.

By working together we can eliminate these criminals.

Regards and Best wishes,

Darren
